This week was the first week of Joy School and we got to have it at our house. We have 4 kids this year from 3 families. We spent the week learning about the rules and routines we'll be using throughout the year. It should be a fun group this year. McKade loves Joy School so much that I'm pretty sure he's gonna be upset when he doesn't get to move on the next house!
The weekend ended up being soooo busy for us. On Friday we went to the last Orem Owlz game of the season. The Tongs, the Hoens, and the Stuebners (don't even ask what Matt's talking about in the picture of the guys!) all joined us and Ben's work was actually there so we saw a lot of people we knew. It was such a beautiful night but freezing!! Fall is definitely heading our way. The game was really, really, really long but the kids had a fun time playing around despite being cold. Poor Jayme even caught a home run ball...with his leg! Ouch!!! He had a giant bruise and was hobbling around at the end but hopefully he'll be okay. We toughed it out until the end of the game to see a short but awesome fireworks display. It was a fun way to end the summer!!
So despite our very late night at the game, we still dragged ourselves out of bed on Saturday morning to head up to downtown SLC to the Star Wars Event at Pottery Barn. This was some exclusive even that you had to get tickets for so we're thinking it sounded really cool. Um, after 45 minutes of standing in line and then getting to see a total of 4 Star Wars guys for like 1 minute, we weren't too thrilled. The kids even thought it was dumb and that's saying something!! Afterwards we gave in to our kid's pleadings and headed to IKEA for a bit. Who would think IKEA would be more exciting than Star Wars?!? So sad.
Today we had Regional Conference. I didn't go because I'm 8 months pregnant and honestly don't think I could have sat on a hard metal chair for two hours besides the fact that Kade would spend the entire two hours pounding away on his new-found "drum." Ben and Skylar headed off and I stayed home with the boys so we missed out but I heard it was good.
Later we went up to my parent's house to celebrate August and September birthdays. We had a good dinner and a nice night until....poor Kade hurt his arm. He was playing with a cousin and then started crying. He wouldn't lift his arm at all and cried if we touched it. If Kade is crying over getting hurt it usually means he's really hurt because he's such a rough and tumble kid that he's always banging into something and doesn't ever cry. He's had his arm dislocated twice already so I was hoping that was all it was but since I didn't see what happened, I didn't want to just pop it back in blindly. Needless to say, we took off and headed straight to the pediatrician's office-thank goodness they have after-hours. After a long wait-I never knew Sunday nights were so busy!- we finally saw the doctor and yes, it was dislocated. A quick twist and a few minutes later, Kade was back in business eating a fruit snack and happy. The doctor said it'll probably keep happening until he's around 5! Poor Kade!! We're glad it's a quick fix though and he's fine. We love you Kadybug!

Well at least you got some sweet Star Wars pictures with the kids. Your joy school sounds fun! I would totally be all about that if we lived closer.
It is definately getting harder getting bigger huh? I am so uncomfortable sitting now but it hurts my dumb leg to stand too. Honestly I could go on forever. Ugh! Pregnancy is so fun...
You are one hot pregnant woman, missy. I remember our "playgroup" days. How fun.
Gina-The only "hot" I'm feeling right now is from the weather sneaking back up to 80 today. But thanks!!
Yep, Becky, I'm with you. We need these babies to make their debuts soon!!
